What is Juvéderm?
Juvéderm is a collection of FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers made by Allergan Aesthetics, the same company behind Botox. Each product in the collection is built on Allergan's proprietary VYCROSS technology, which cross-links both short- and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules to create smooth, cohesive gels that integrate naturally with facial tissue. Compared to older HA formulations, VYCROSS products tend to cause less swelling, last longer, and distribute more evenly after injection.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Consultation and facial mapping
Your injector at RELUXE reviews your goals and assesses your facial anatomy — bone structure, soft tissue volume, and skin quality. The appropriate Juvéderm product and syringe count are recommended based on this assessment, not a one-size approach.

Numbing and preparation
Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment begins. Juvéderm also contains lidocaine pre-mixed into the gel itself, so most of the numbing happens during the injection. The treated area is cleaned and marked.

Injection and placement
Treatment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on the number of areas. Your injector places the product using precise needle or cannula techniques, then massages and molds the area for even distribution. Most patients are surprised by how manageable the appointment feels.

Immediate results and settling
Volume correction is visible right away. Mild swelling and occasional bruising are normal for three to seven days — longer with lip filler. Final results settle around the two-week mark. RELUXE includes a complimentary follow-up appointment at that point.
