The Process

Your CO₂ Treatment Timeline

Your provider assesses your skin type (Fitzpatrick classification), concerns, and candidacy. Pre-treatment skincare prep and antiviral medication may be prescribed.

Treatment Day

Topical numbing applied 45–60 minutes prior. The CO₂ session typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on treatment area. Mild-to-moderate sensation during treatment.

Days 1–5 (Active Healing)

Skin weeps, crusts, and peels. Follow your provider's wound-care protocol closely. Avoid sun exposure completely. This phase is temporary and expected.

Days 5–14 (Pink Skin)

Raw skin resolves; fresh new skin appears. Pinkness or redness is normal and fades over several weeks. Light makeup can typically resume at day 7–10.

Months 1–6 (Collagen Remodeling)

Results continue improving for 3–6 months as collagen remodeling progresses. Most patients see their final result at 3–6 months post-treatment.

Results: Many patients see dramatic improvement in texture, tone, and lines with a single CO₂ session. Results typically last several years with proper sun protection. Some patients with severe scarring or significant aging may benefit from a second session 12+ months later.
