Getting filler for the first time can feel like a big deal. Here is exactly what happens when you walk through our door for your first filler appointment.

Before You Arrive

Avoid blood thinners for 5-7 days before your appointment to minimize bruising. Skip alcohol for 24 hours. Come with a clean face and eat a normal meal beforehand.

The Consultation

Your provider will assess your facial anatomy and discuss your goals. Be honest about your budget and expectations.

The Treatment

Most fillers contain lidocaine, and your provider will apply topical numbing cream 15-20 minutes before injecting. The injection process takes 10-30 minutes.

Right After

Expect mild swelling and possible bruising. Swelling peaks at 24-48 hours and resolves within a week. Apply ice and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

The Results

You will see immediate improvement, but the final result settles over 2 weeks. Results last 6-18 months depending on the product and area treated.
